Warlord: Awaji Post-Battle XP Guide

Verified for Pre-release Instant Action playtest · 2026-09-08
The playtest supports extra XP after the main fight, and long-form footage repeatedly shows players gaining XP from battlefield cleanup actions. Taking an enemy head is directly observed awarding XP in one English playtest. Treat the exact values and the campaign consequences as version-specific until the full release confirms how post-battle rewards interact with surrender and morale.

Do enemy heads give XP?

In the observed playtest: yes. One long-form English session shows the player taking a head, then immediately reacting to the XP gain. Later footage shows the same player leveling off that post-battle behavior.

That is strong enough to describe as a playtest mechanic, but not strong enough to publish a permanent XP-value table for the release build.

What other post-battle XP was observed

Players also pursue wounded or defeated enemies after victory for additional XP. The tutorial itself tells players to hunt down defeated enemies after a winning match to gain extra XP.

The important caveat is state: wounded, surrendered and dead warriors are not necessarily the same thing in Awaji. The full campaign may attach different consequences to those states.

Efficient without losing the objective

Do not abandon a live objective for post-battle farming. Secure the match first. If your team still needs a flag, that flag is more important than squeezing XP from the far side of the battlefield.
