Warlord: Awaji Combat & Progression Cheat Sheet

Verified for Pre-release Instant Action playtest · 2026-09-08
Use this sheet as a match-side reference: win by exhausting enemy Respawn Tickets while holding at least half the flags; preserve stamina because weak blocks can leak damage and zero stamina can drop your weapon; hit exposed body parts against armor; earn XP through combat, level up, and re-check equipment after progression.

Warlord: Awaji Warlord: Awaji Combat & Progression Cheat Sheet guide visual
Guide visual built from verified mechanics; not an in-game screenshot.

Win condition

Enemy Respawn Tickets must reach zero and your team must control at least half the flags.

Respawn Tickets

Team respawn pool. Repeated losses push the side toward zero remaining replacements.

Stamina

Used for blocking and regenerates automatically. Do not enter a crowd already drained.

Low-stamina block

Incoming attacks can still deal damage while you are blocking.

Zero stamina

You may risk dropping your weapon.

Armor

Reduces incoming damage. Prefer exposed body parts over visibly armored sections.

XP

Defeating enemies grants XP. Observed post-battle actions can grant additional XP.

Leveling

XP raises character level; higher levels unlock more equipment choices.

Wounded

Characters can remain incapacitated/wounded rather than simply dead.

Surrender

Some warriors can give up instead of fighting to the last person.

Seppuku

After surrendering, some high-ranking samurai may request assistance with Seppuku in the playtest/tutorial.

Friend or enemy?

Use banners, group movement and known allies as your anchor; armor alone can be hard to read.

What is intentionally not on this sheet

There is no fixed Retainer level, full equipment table, campaign resource formula, best-army build or exact morale threshold here. Those details are release-day verification items, not gaps to fill with guesses.
